TEXTING, PCV-STYLE

Texting, and its older brother Instant Messaging, are two of my long-standing technological vices.  I’m blessed to have some very witty friends in my life, and in the past few days I’ve received a handful of texts that have made me laugh out loud.  Because my life has consisted of unpacking and setting up my house (which, without pictures, is pretty boring), I’ll recount some of them for you now.

Me: Morning! The weather’s turned nice again, thankfully, and I just discovered the cutest thing ever: kindergarteners attempting to sing the natl anthem. Adorable!

PCV Friend: Afternoon! Those kindergarteners still cute? Kindergarteners is an absurdly long word to describe such small beings- word-lengths should correspond to age…

Me: Or body mass! They’re preparing, I think, for a possible King visit next week.

PCV Friend: King’s coming to christen your new house? Though I guess ‘christen’ is the def the wrong word…

Another PCV Friend: You know how you’ll find money in a pocket whilst doing laundry occasionally?

Me: Yes! Love that. How much did you find?

Another PCV Friend: Replace pocket with cardboard box and money with ziplock bag full of peanut brittle… SCORE!

I love my friends.
