Friends, I am back in America. 🙂
Aside from being far too busy to post anything here as of late, I’ve also put off writing anything new for fear that I’d give my surprise away (this trip home was a surprise that was months in the making). Tonight was night where I jumped out of the cake, figuratively speaking, and things went off swimmingly. If there’s one thing I can do well, it’s a surprise.
I’ll post the story of lies and deception soon, incha’Allah; but for now, please join me in congratulating my oldest friend on his graduation from pharmacy school — and for not weeping openly at my grand re-entrance into his life (though I will admit that we both teared up a little).
Jet lag, culture shock and indigestion aside, it’s good to be back.
